Make a website they said, it'll be fun they said.

I've been a photographer for a while now, without a website. People ask for it and I direct them to my Facebook or Instagram pages. Not long ago an old family friend said, "But I don't have Facebook or Instagram." It hadn't even occurred to me in this day and age that there might be people out there who don't have social media and want to see my work. We assume that everyone has some sort of social media account, but clearly there are people that don't! It got me thinking, maybe it's time, maybe I should bite the bullet and make a website. With some gentle prodding and encouragement (sometimes it felt more like nagging) from my family, well mostly my husband, because let's face it teenage kids only care if there's food in the fridge, the process of building a website began.

I searched and researched and maybe even did some soul searching as I sat down and started opening tab after tab of webpages. There are some crazy beautiful sites out there and there a lot of hosts, but I'm not a coder so how am I going to maneuver my way through the crazy world of building a website?! Time, I'm going to maneuver my way through building a website with time and thanks to ole Rona there's plenty of time these days.

So here I am, day I don't even know what now, burning the midnight oil once more and I'm still working on my website. Things get really real when you have to write them all down for the world to read.
